The MOU Panel
What’s up, guys? Been awhile. This is Noah, by the way.
Fold 4 of the Marvel Origami Universe! Big deal, don’t you think? After T.H.A.N.O.S. and the Infinity Folds, things have changed a lot. Our favorite characters are definitely in weird spots; some have left, some have changed schools and some have no idea what they’re doing! The first thing we’re going to be doing is checking up on them, right?
If you read Return of the SCS, which just released this week (props to OL100 and Cam for writing it!) you’d remember that all-important epilogue, where we find out that not only is Clark going to Claremont Academy, but Claremont is also home to a bunch of characters who have been mysteriously missing from the MOU so far: the Origami X-Men, of course!
Claremont is going to be different. For one thing, they don’t even use puns! Isn’t that weird? But, we’ll have a chance to get to know all of the Origami X-Men, and I think you’ll all enjoy it. Especially since most of you will have the chance to write for them!
I won’t give the whole lineup, but the most important for the first portion of Fold 4 will be these. And so far, only the Council are confirmed to write, but that’s where you all will come in:
- The Origami X-Men and the New Girl
- Origins: Origami Wolverine – by Peyton: it’s been finished for over two months!
- The Uncanny Origami X-Men – An anthology! Which a bunch of you will contribute to!
- The Tale of Origami Nightcrawler
- The Brotherhood of Evil Origami
- The Return of Emma Frost – by myself, Noah.
But, we aren’t leaving Wheeler behind, nosirree. There’ll be some awesome Wheeler stories, too, some of which are:
- Captain Marfold
- Adam Papercut
- Black Pen-ther vs. Namorigami
- Falcon and the Americut Aftermath
- The Superior Spider-Fold – by Jar Jar!
- 2 Foldians of the Galaxy – also by Peyton!
That’s certainly not all of Fold 4, by the way. There’s still quite a bit more that we haven’t seen, including a certain famous foursome. But more will be revealed as time goes on, and I hope this is enough for you all to sink your teeth into for the moment.
One thing to bear in mind is that Fold 4 will be run very differently from the previous three Folds. Everyone will have a chance to write a main story, but I plan to be very involved in the writing process just to make sure everything is consistent. Main stories will be assigned, so expect an email soon from myself. Permission needs to be given for One-Shots, so make sure you send me a message before you start writing one! And I can not stress the importance of asking questions for your stories! I want this to be as tight as possible, and I can only do that with your cooperation.
I’d also like to give a round of applause to Peyton, because he’s been absolutely invaluable on the planning for this Fold. Seriously, he’s awesome.
Fold 4 will probably start sometime in the Fall, which will give time for a lot of stories to be written. It’ll bring a conclusion to much of the MOU, and I can’t wait to get started.
